Lots of you had lovely things to say about the You & I music video, and Rachel was no exception!
The "You & I" music video is artistically the best video One Direction have produced. The perfect transitions and movements between the five lads are symbolic of how quickly time passes and that is hugely relevant for the fans who have stuck by the band since the beginning. The contrast between the slow motion and the rapid change in character is very creative and interesting. This development of one member into another also evokes a sense of unity within the band which I believe to be essential to their success. For this reason, it is the final scene, as they are messing around the pier, kicking a football, that is my favourite. This is because it shows us that despite the seriousness of the video, they are still the same youthful, happy, energetic and fun boys that we all know. It is a reminder that we should all strive for happy days amidst the darkest ones.
