Up All Night to be released in New Zealand!

: After months of fevered anticipation and levels of hysteria not witnessed for decades, One Direction will finally unleash their debut album Up All Night on November 28th.

One Direction’s debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ shot to #1 on iTunes within 15 minutes of being released in the UK and achieved the biggest week 1 sales of 2011, selling 153,965 copies.

One Direction has also caused a flurry of pandemonium in New Zealand. Upon release of their first single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ it catapulted to #2 on the ITunes chart, within 48 hours.

Harry, Zayn, Niall, Liam and Louis have spent the last eight months recording and perfecting the album with the help of an eclectic mix of music’s heaviest hitters, including Red One (Lady GaGa, Jennifer Lopez), Steve Robson (Take That, Leona Lewis), Brian Rawling (Enrique Iglesias, Cher), Richard Biff Stannard (Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue) and Rami & Carl Falk
(Britney Spears, Pink, Nicole Scherzinger).

Stand out tracks on the album include ‘Gotta Be You’, an emotive and heartfelt ballad with lush strings, soaring harmonies and an indelible melody. The epically anthemic ‘One Thing’ is another hit-in-waiting: ‘More Than This’ is a beautiful and melodic smash, with the boys distinctive vocals sounding stronger than ever. Recent #1 ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ is joined on this confident collection by the pulsating pop/rock of ‘Tell Me A Lie’.

Tom Fletcher from McFly has also written the boys a stand out pop stomper, ‘I Want’, sure to be a huge favourite on One Direction’s upcoming sell out UK tour.

Following the release of ‘Up All Night’, the band will play a string of live dates across the UK and Ireland this December and January as part of their debut tour. Tickets sold out for all the dates within hours of them going on sale as One Direction mania continues to grip the nation.
